For couples who still love each other

You still love each other. You just can't remember the last peaceful week at home.

The same argument keeps coming back. Then days of silence. And family pressure sitting right in the middle of it all.

I'm Ahtasham, a clinical psychologist. I help couples get back to a calm, close home. You can come together, or start on your own if your partner isn't ready yet.

I take only 6 new clients a month, because I work with every one personally.

Does this sound like your home?

Most people who reach out haven't stopped loving each other. They're just tired of moments like these.

  • "Six years married, and I still feel like a guest in this house."

  • "If I listen to my mother, my wife is upset. If I support my wife, my mother is. What am I supposed to do?"

  • "It started over something so small. I don't even know how it got this big."

  • "We haven't really talked in three days. Neither of us wants to go first."

  • "One 'ok' on WhatsApp, and the whole day is ruined."

  • "In front of the kids, everything looks normal. Then the door closes and nobody speaks."

  • "He works abroad. Our calls are only about bills and the children."

  • "I can't tell anyone. What would people say?"

If you read one of these and thought "that's us," nothing is wrong with you or your marriage. You've both fallen into a habit of reacting to each other in the same way. Habits can change.

The approach

Couples don't need to be fixed. They need to be understood first.

Most couples I see don't have a love problem. They have two very common habits.

One person expects the other to understand without being told. The other gets defensive instead of listening.

Nobody ever taught either of you another way. That's what we learn together.

  • I listen before I advise.

We find out what's really behind the arguments first.

  • Nobody is the villain.

We change what happens between you, not who you are.

  • Family is part of the work.

In-laws and family pressure aren't ignored here. We deal with them directly.

The method

The C.A.R.E. Method for Couples

Four focused steps, one clear system. Each step builds on the last, so the changes actually hold.

Step 01 Conflict Protocol

Interrupt the cycle before it escalates.

A practical, repeatable way to catch conflict the moment it starts spiralling, so the same argument stops running the relationship.

What you'll work on

  • Recognise the trigger and the pattern behind it
  • A shared signal to pause before it escalates
  • Re-enter the conversation calmly, not defensively

When only one of you is ready

Your partner won't come? You can still start.

"I suggested counselling. He said, 'Are we crazy or something?'"

I hear this a lot. It doesn't have to stop you.

Think of a tug of war. If one person stops pulling, the other can't keep pulling the same way for long. When you change how you respond, your partner starts responding differently too, even if they never join a single session.

  • Private one-to-one sessions, built around you
  • Small things you can try at home the same week
  • Your partner can join later, whenever they're ready
Start on your own

How it works

You'll know exactly what to expect from day one.

  • 6 or 8 weeks One session a week
  • Private, one-to-one As a couple, or on your own

Is this right for you?

This is for you if…

  • You still care about each other, but keep ending up in the same place
  • Family pressure is coming between you
  • You feel like two people running a house, not partners
  • Your partner isn't ready, but you are
  • You're ready to try small things at home between sessions

Sounds like you?

Book a private call

Start somewhere else first if:

  • There is abuse or violence in the relationship
  • Addiction is part of the picture
  • There is an affair that is still going on

These need a different kind of help first. Reach out anyway , and I'll personally point you to the right person.

If you or anyone at home is in immediate danger, call 15 or 1122 right away.

Inside a session

What a session actually looks like

No lectures. No list of rules. Here's a typical moment.

I'm a guide, not a judge.

I won't tell you to stay or leave. I'll help you see what's really going on, and find a better way through it together.

A typical example

Couple · Week 2
  1. The situation

A couple keeps arguing about phones. She feels ignored at dinner. He feels watched all the time.

  2. The easy answer

    "No phones at dinner."

It sounds sensible. But a rule doesn't touch why he reaches for the phone in the first place.

  3. What I ask instead

When you pick up your phone in that moment, what are you trying to escape from?
  4. What changes

The real reason comes out. Once it's said out loud, it stops being about the phone, and they can deal with the actual problem together.

    Ayesha & HamzaLahore Couple
  • My husband wasn't ready to come, so I started alone. I learned to change my part, and slowly he started changing his. I didn't think that was possible.

    Sana R.Islamabad Solo enrollment
  • The in-law pressure was pulling us apart. We now handle family decisions together, as a team, without either of us feeling we chose sides.

    Bilal & MehwishKarachi Couple
  • Working abroad made us feel like strangers. The sessions gave us small daily habits that kept us close across the distance.

    Usman K.Dubai Online sessions
  • He never took sides, not once. For the first time we both felt heard in the same room. That alone changed how we talk at home.

    Hira & FahadRawalpindi Couple
  • I was nervous about anyone finding out. Everything was private and respectful. I left every session feeling lighter and understood.

Before you reach out

Questions, answered honestly

The things couples most often want to know before taking the first step.

  1. No. My loyalty is to your relationship and to what's true for both of you, not to whoever argues harder. You'll both be heard, and neither of you will be blamed.

  2. No. What you share stays between us. Your family, your in-laws and nobody else needs to know you're coming. The only exception is if someone's safety is at risk, and I'll explain that clearly on our first call.

  3. Yes. Many people start alone. When one person changes how they respond, things at home start to shift. Your partner can join later if they want to.

  4. Many women ask this, and it's a fair question. You set the pace. We only talk about what you're ready to talk about, and you can ask me anything on the first call before you decide.

  5. Only if and when you want to. Nothing is forced.

  6. [Confirm: e.g. English or Urdu, whichever you're more comfortable in.]

  7. Both. Online works from anywhere in Pakistan or abroad. In-person sessions are in [city].

  8. It's a structured program led by a clinical psychologist. It's practical and focused on your relationship and the skills you use at home. If you need deeper individual support, I'll tell you honestly.

  9. There are two options, 6 weeks and 8 weeks. I share the exact prices on our first call, once we both know which one fits you. There's no pressure to decide on the call.

  10. [Confirm the process, e.g. "You'll get a message confirming your time. On the call, we talk about what's happening at home, I answer your questions, and we decide together whether this is right for you."]

Still have a question? Ask me directly on a short, private call.
